Ant vs. Machine

In a galaxy far far away from here, I studied maths.  Perhaps more than was good for me.  Maybe my fascination for geometry and patterns stems from that period.  Maths never really stole my heart, on the contrary, it made my heart bleed.  However 'technical drawings' still fascinate me.  So when I came across a nearly 100 yr old manual of a textile machine, I didn't hesitate: I ripped it apart and used it as an imaginary, mechanical world where my insects live.  An intriguing contrast between the 'hard scientific' world and the 'vulnerable' world of our insects.
